Freaking £30 that butt is here in UK (almost $40)

A week before Memorial day I got one for $1.29 a pound at my Kroger. I agree, with those prices make some room in the freezer, can’t pass it up!

In Ohio, they are $2.69 per pound but are BOGO this week. I have found that Meijer has better sales on some meats and I watch for when .99 per pound.

In Texas, Kroger sells them for as little as 99 cents per lb. What state is this in?

I only ever buy Pork Butts when they are $0.99/lb. Then I load up, smoke in bulk and freeze in pre-portioned packs for on demand BBQ.

My Kroger has buy one get one (rings up at half price if that’s all you need) but I’ll be danged if I could score one.

Sale ends tomorrow so I’m calling in the morning!

  7. $0.99/lb at my local supermarket this week, typical sale price on and off all grilling season (New England)

Man buying meat in Canada sucks.

  9. Been a while since I saw a bone-in butt roast.

Yeah, for whatever reason, it’s all about pork these days. Embrace it, don’t fight it.

Kroger in North TX has them at .97 lb many times a year. So often that I am able to keep stocked up without paying more.

Got 2 at a similar sale from Costco and the cut was kinda shit

Just made this exact thing today. Turned it into Al pastor tacos and used the left over to make some pulled pork sliders on Hawaiian rolls with some homemade bbq sauce. Never used Kroger brand meat before but it came out great!

  14. Never that cheap in WI. Our Kroger-owned stores suck.
