There’s a farmer in Orange County that’s there all the time. Mostly asian style fruit & vegetables. They have the most wicked yellow watermelons in the summer. Full of seeds, expensive as hell, but the flavor is complete insanity.

I eat breakfast every Sunday at that stall in your second photo, so good! She makes the chili oil fresh everytime too.

Do they sell a lot of good produce too or is it mostly prepared foods? My local market doesn’t really have prepared foods and I’m jealous, that looks awesome.

Awww… that was the only farmers market I went to during Covid.

How often are they open?

Honestly farmers market / outdoor night markets are a scam these days. You pay way more for way less quality than even a food truck. For example to get lamb skewers at 626 night market, you pay 10 dollars for 3 tiny sticks of meat whereas a sit down restaurant you pay 10 dollars for 5 much larger pieces.

There’s also bbq, and the fishmonger works with a family that makes fish tacos, ceviche etc. with the fresh fish for sale.

Ooo thank you for sharing this! I’ve been missing out.
You went to AFM and didn’t take picture of any of the famous Hmong and Taiwanese farmers? Uhhhh….
I go just for the roasted corn stall! Roasted corn for esquites makes all the difference!
I love that market. https://imgur.com/a/tprjEO6/
I’d go for those roasted peanuts alone!
