Hi! Thanks for reading- so I made my maesil cheong the way I did last year, but I checked and saw the plums floating on the top turned brown in the places exposed to air (they’re swirled around in the photo). This didn’t happen at all last year (4th photo).

I mixed them and the sugar around by turning upside down a few times, but does this mean its gone bad? Should I pitch them? :(. When I opened the lid slightly, everything smells great and fine, just want to check to be safe
