    Nusr-Et, I was glad I wasn’t the one paying

watch a couple YouTube videos, stop by a local butcher, and you can grill a 1000x better steak at home — as an added bonus you won’t be underpaying any employees

I thought mother wolf was more glitz than taste. I only liked the branzino there. That was worth it.

Yamashiro, they couldn’t even get their rice right. It came out cold and dry. I would have preferred $2 Chinese takeout rice.

Chifa still got me saltier than their unseasoned paltry famine portions years after my visit.

Giorgio Baldi’s. The food was just meh, super expensive, ambiance too loud, too cramped. Just not an enjoyable dining experience.

Fucking Aroma Cafe in Studio City. Every day at all hours there’s a line out the door, and every 2 years I trick myself with “well sure every other time you’ve gone to Aroma the food and coffee have sucked shit and the baked goods are stale, but clearly those were just flukes since this place is obviously *so damned popular* – you should try it again!”

And then I order chilaquilies with chicken and I am served a plate with wet nachos, black beans and scrambled eggs (all separate like an English Breakfast) with a chicken sausage on a side plate.

This is a stupid answer but I swear I feel like this more often than not whenever I eat out. Seems like almost every restaurant has gotten shittier

Real answer: The Rose in Venice

Animal. Their ingredient quality and execution have gone to complete shit since the pandemic. Some dishes are unpalatable now because of multiple creative liberties that they have taken.

Mirate. Had a big party so they made us choose a preset menu with $100 per head and mandatory 25% gratuity.

The food was a mediocre rendition of what i couldve gotten for $15 from any taco stand and the service was terrible.

Paid $1,200 to eat shitty food in a lovely atmosphere 🙃

    Felix Trattoria overhyped as fuck

  11. Sooooooo many these days. There’s been such a huge drop in quality since the pandemic.

Casa Vega. Biggest rip off of the planet. No enchilada should be $30, also worst enchilada I’ve ever had too

such a fun topic, thanks for posting this one

Recently, unfortunately, Connie and Ted’s was this exact experience.

  15. LayerBoring

Too many to list unfortunately. Most celebrity owned restaurants to begin with.

    “The Waffle” on sunset…

Nice vibes, and sitting outside on a weekend waiting for your food feels nice

But the food is not good enough to cost that much tbh 🤧 and the portions are so small

Gwen. Even with their recently earned Michelin Star, everything was incredibly mid. Went there on a special occasion and felt straight up robbed. My husband’s $200 steak was so over salted that it was barely edible.

  18. darkNnerdgy

Monty’s! 😠 Im glad many people enjoy it. I saw the line one day that was long and thought i should try it. Biggest regret for spending $20

  19. terribleatgolf

It’s been many years since I’ve been there but El Coyote was notorious for having bad food. A guy I used to know got thrown out when he had a pizza delivered to him at the bar.

  20. kayleighnotkaylie

It’s Gracias Madre for me. They used to be great but quality has dipped so much.

  21. Dorythehunk

A majority of Indian food in LA. $20 for barely a pint of chewy butter chicken isn’t right.

    Mastro’s ocean club

$60 to order a steak medium rare and have it come out well done. The quality of their food is so inconsistent. The DTLA location is pitiful.
