
With the profusion of loquat fruits appearing everywhere around town, I’m wondering if anyone has recipes for them beyond loquat butter/jam/chutney, etc.
I stumbled upon this recipe for [Loquat Kebabs](https://www.turkeysforlife.com/2020/05/loquat-recipe-yeni-dunya-kebab.html) that looks yummy and I would love to hear if you know of any really amazing recipes for loquats– regional recipes in particular.

To me they have a similar flavor to Asian pear so you can blend them up and use them as a sub for Asian pear for a KBBQ sauce/marinade
Having a friendly competition with some neighbors to see who can make the most interesting thing from a kilo of loquats: currently lactofermenting and plan to make a juice reduction, maybe some powder, maybe a hot sauce with some fermented habs & garlic depending on the flavor and how briny they are. So far they’re looking good and active.
