Edit: I completely misread this as what to cook this for. I would cook it for 10, but then I suppose it depends on how you’re preparing it

Look up a Mississippi Pot Roast recipe for the slow cooker. Easy and delicious! Goes great with Mashed Potatoes.

Braise or slow cooker. I think someone else mentioned the Mississippi pot roast recipe, definitely worth a try if you haven’t.

On low over the course of a workday. If it were me, Id put it in with some butter and an acidic sauce, pull it and serve it on sliders or atop butter noodles.

1.45 lbs is definitely on the smaller side for a roast, but that’s ok. I like a slow cooker for convenience and I cook my roast, veggies, spices, and liquid on low for at least 8 hours. Even a roast that size can handle 8 hours. Even 10 hours should be fine.

Low 8-10. Don’t try and cheat it on high, chuck roast needs low and slow baby.

Sear every side and season to your preference then low and slow 4-6 hours depending on your temp, time, and tenderness.

As a Lancashire Hot Pot – for a of minimum eight hours on low.
Gently seer it and leave it on low for 6-8 hours. I throw mine in before I leave for work and by the time I get home it’s falling apart.
I always add veggies for the taste that will be fished out once my partner gets home and he’ll add in the veggies we intend to eat with it in then so they’re not dissolved into paste. If you don’t want to do that, just allow extra time for the veggies to cook all the way through. You can jump start them by partially boiling and then finishing off in the crockpot with all the juices for the flavor.
