Went to revisit Little mamas after about a year. I went many times pre pandemic and got togo a lot in 2020. I genuinely think it’s the only good filipino food i’ve found here. The lechon kawali with the Mang Tomas sauce is one of my favorite dishes and I like their filipino bbq skewers. Each entree comes with a choice of rice or veggies or you can pay extra for garlic rice or fried rice. The pompano with garlic rice was so good. If you’re looking for good filipino food, this is your spot.

I love this spot but haven’t gone since the pandemic because it’s all the way in round rock and has weird hours so takeout isn’t really an option.
Have you tried Fil n Viet? They changed up some of the recipes & menu late last summer and have some really good things. I like the kinilaw and sisig a lot.

This place seriously needs more attention. One of my favorite places to eat in (greater) Austin.

But where are the Lumpia? That’s always been my favorite Filipino food.

What are your recommendations to order here?

Went here once, and although good, just too far. We really need filipino restaurants in South Austin!

Yes! Love little mama’s. It’s so hard to get good Filipino food(outside of my Mom’s house) in Austin/RR.

What part of Austin is Round Rock?

I keep meaning to go back, but it’s so inconvenient 🙁 I wish they at least had online ordering.

Kapatad was a little underwhelming for me. Now I need to try this place. Thanks!

Only Filipino food I’ve had in Austin is Carabao Express not long after they opened a few years ago. Haven’t been back even though it’s in my neighborhood. I try to eat light and it seemed to be a heavy plate of lots of stuff. No complaints, it was very filling but nothing I’ve cared to repeat.

I’ve been having opposite experiences in the past. Elsie’s better and Little Mama’s meats were so dry. Also weird hours.
