Sad to see them close, but at least it’s on their terms.

Easily the best schnitzel in the city. What an awesome 60 years.

My absolute fave. Heart Breaking, but congrats for such a great contribution to the city.

Aww man, I lived above that place for two and a half years. The owner was always nice to me, and that place was a great pad.

The Annex used to be home to a large Hungarian community that immigrated after the revolution in 1956 and consequently there were a lot of Hungarian stores and restaurants in the area. Country Style was one of the last ones (if not the only one) left from that time period. Truly the end of an era. And their food was fuckin delicious.

Good. It was overpriced and mediocre anyway

Time to get schnit-faced in their honor.

A friend took me there years ago and we enjoyed it. That friend has moved back into the city after being away for years, and lives within walking distance. Looks like we have to stop by one last time this summer.

Damn! I loved that place. I used to go with my family and we’d joke about the stale bread (being as old as the decor- before the renovations). But man oh man did they make the best schnitzel platters and have the nicest staff. Long live Country Style.

Fucking legend. Cannot say enough. Red/white checkered tablecloths and those big fucking creamy desserts I could NOT ONCE get to because I was way too full from the Hunter’s Schnitzel platter.

Really loved this place when it was old school with checkered table cloths etc before the reno. Went post reno and had gone down hill. Still many memories here eating schnitzel!

Wow! sad to see, my grandfather was a regular at this place and has seen generations of our entire family.

Their food is fantastic; sad to see them close, but at least they do it on their own terms.
