I made carnitas in the slow cooker! (Crisped up in cast iron) 🌮 Served with guac, pico, and chipotle crema

    Pork shoulder that I rubbed with salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and chilli powder. To the pot I added 2 cups of low sodium chicken stock, 2 bay leaves, 1 cup of pure orange juice, 1/8 cup lime juice, and 5 cloves minced garlic. I went a bit rogue and added 1 can of chipotle adobo SAUCE and 1 can of green chiles because I love them.

    Cooked on low for 8 hrs, shredded, and tossed into the cast iron to crisp up! I added a bit of cooking liquid for extra flavour and to keep things moist 🙂
