This is the pork chorizo and asada. I also got the black bean nopales taco but it’s not in the photo.

This was my first time eating here but I’d definitely come back. Their meat choices are a little atypical (all they had was these two and chicken, no carnitas, lengua, al pastor, etc) but they did have more veggie options than most taco spots.

All three tacos plus a coke was $12. Very cheap but I probably could’ve eaten another taco or two.

Are they just B&M or do they still have their spot on York?

My fave tacos in LA. Nothing quite like them.

  4. $12 isn’t too bad. Hopefully he doesn’t raise the prices too much now that he has a Michelin star.

That pic reminds me of the street tacos I got in Mexico City. Love it!

I don’t understand the hype behind these tacos.

It’s funny actually I discovered Villa’s bc of their borderline annoying social media presence. And someone in this subreddit actually wrote in one of the comments how overrated Villa’s is and that he thinks Angel’s is the best in LA.

So I went to Angel’s as a result and I 100% agree with him. I don’t understand the extreme hype behind Villa’s and I’ll be an Angel’s guy till I die.

Villa’s Tacos take a pretty instagram photo though!

Thank you for this, I’m currently riding the new regional connector subways and I’ll just stay on the train I’m on two more stops and get these tacos.

That looks like a lot of red dye their for their meat.

Talked to Victor Villa when he was pitching passersby about the tacos he was making in his tia’s backyard. Three years later, those tacos are in the Michelin Guide.

I forgot about this place! Service at their store location sucked, the dude was on his phone the whole time and messed up the order. I was really looking forward to trying them, tacos were decent though.

  13. Fuck, that place is out of control. Their style is 100%. I need to peep the B&M.

This place is absolutely killer and the owner is a true LA success story. The guy started out selling tacos in his grandma’s yard in Highland Park.

Is this from the one on York, or Fig? Wondering if they’re both equally good, or if one’s better.
