Went to the nothern Home Slice for fathers day. Wife got the italian sandwich and kids got the pizza. I originally went there for the italian sub but remembered I haven’t had a good calzone since I left the NE years ago and audibled into the meat calzone. Absolutely perfect, crispy outside chewy crust and the cheeses and meats inside were such good quality. The insides were almost buttery they were so rich, I don’t know if that was just good olive oil or good riccatta but was so spot on. Might be the best calzone I’ve had anywhere.
The pizza and the italian were both amazing as well, not selling either short. Italian was easily the champ in Austin with no good competition I’ve seen and that was the best nyc bodega style pizza in Austin

I had a few slices (white spinach and meatball onion!) from there last night, a hit every time.
