I DON’T mean the bowl-o’-snot that’s the most common form of chicharrones. And I don’t mean pork rinds. These are basically hunks of pork fried with the skin still on. Been looking for a while.
Only ever found them at [Losoya’s](https://goo.gl/maps/qLRH8EptgQuTVWtv8) in San Antonio. Check it out if you’re over there. You’ll blow yer fuckin’ mind!

Yeah, I can’t help, but now I want it too. 🤤

Casa Colombia has it as a menu item, and Fiesta puts them out daily in their little hot bar section. Just ask them how fresh they are and you’re good to go.

For hunks of fried pork fried with the skin still on, just go to about any of the many little carnicerias in the little Mexican stores around town. They’re everywhere.

Sounds similar to Salvadoreño style chicharrón. So maybe check out some pupuserias? I’ve had chicharrón at Costa del Sol, but it’s been a while. I honestly can’t order it often because I have zero self control and will eat until I’m uncomfortably full. 😇

Dona Tota’s in San Antonion would, for sure.
I made beef chicharones last night with the trimmings for my carne guisada. So good.

I also have been on the lookout for these. The closest I’ve found is to get the lechon kawali at Filipino Asian Mart and carabao express.

Idk if it helps, but in south Texas if I said or asked for carnitas, this is what I would get.
In central Texas carnitas tends to mean pulled pork with Mexican spices.
It’s frustrating for me lol.

El Meson has it on their guacamole trio.

La Michoacana Meat Market. In the back. There’s several around town. And they’re not labeled Norteños around here. Just plain old chicharrones, or con carne, with meat.

Tortilleria La Sabrocita have the best ones in town imo it’s on E Rundberg Ln. We drive down there just for their chicharrones and tortillas.
