Most places I’ve been that offer bread before the meal served the bread in a basket rather than on a plate. They usually give each diner a bread plate as well. This seems fine.

While this isn’t impractical or anything it really is fucking weird. It implies the bread was deep fried… And the size is also really weird. Those fee tiny slices look really sad at the bottom of this thing (unless it was full and you just took the photo after most if the bread was gone).
