I would add this to your summer “must try” list. New spot in Gowanus, bills itself as “unusual Italian”. Nothing was bad, very unique food. The rib parm was the biggest hit – four cold smoked pork ribs are breaded and fried and prepared like a chicken or veal parm. Tasted similar to a veal parm.
Also recommend the grilled octopus with pepperoni and ranch, the wavy pasta with shrimp, and the cucumbers w/ trout roe ans frozen mozzarella whey.

Im going next week for my birthday. Very intrigued. You say nothing was bad. Which sounds a might..tepid. Would you go back?

Something about smoked ribs topped with cheese feels wrong… but maybe like chopping the ribs up and throwing them in a mac and cheese seems right.

That does not look appetizing to me. But I am not a fan of deep frying a protein and throwing cheese on it, then under the broiler. It looks overcooked – brown vs/ ‘golden’. What’s that – a side of spaghetti with guanciale? Why the lemon?
ETA: tried to look up the dish on its website. It’s a terrible site and the menu gave me a 404 error.
