I sauted bayleaf, cloves, cinnamon and Sichuan peppercorn before the garlic, onions and peppers ( I randomly added spices I had )

    Looks great but holy hell that’s a lot of sugar. 1/4 cup plus four sugary sauces is beef candy! Did you add a bay leaf?

    I added a whole tree of bay leaves, just to balance out the sugar coma. Worth it for that sweet beef candy! 😂🍭🥩
