I’ve been hitting up Modern Market’s $7 Bowl Tuesday deal like clockwork for a couple years. Email comes on Monday with the weekly special, order on Tuesday through the app with the discount code, order is waiting for pickup in a few minutes. It’s a decent, healthy meal for nearly half-price. One of those too good, too easy, too cheap deals to pass up.
Couple weeks ago they emailed to say they kept the price $7 as long as they could, now it’s $10 and offered on Monday.
Still a good deal, but more like a $3.50 discount instead of $6-$7 off. My favorites are the Lemongrass Tuna and Curry Salmon bowls. Today it’s Blackened Mango Chicken.
Anyone else know any deals like this?

I’ve also been doing the $7 Tuesday for a few months. Really good deal, sometimes was basically half price for some of the more expensive bowls. Big fan of the smoky chicken and buddha bowl. Today was the first time I had tried the blackened chicken.
Not as great of a deal now that it’s $10. For that price I can get a chicken bowl from chipotle with tons of beans, fajita veggies, etc. But it’s nice for a variety.
The Royal Blue on Congress used to do a $5 burger (now $6) on Tuesdays only, and only at that location. That includes all vegetable toppings (including jalapeno) and cheese (bacon and avocado are extra). But the real secret is that they had a black bean + quinoa burger that is vegan, and the same price. I got it once, and never ordered the beef burger ever again. Was really a good deal. I only stopped getting it since the $7 modern market bowl was a better deal, and I had gotten a little tired of the burger after a few months.
Also they are out of soda. Like almost all sodas pretty much every week. And their air conditioner isn’t working so great in this heat.

Slab BBQ has baller on a budget deal every Tuesday that is a $7.99 sandwich.
How funny, I just noticed their sign for this a couple weeks ago and was surprised at the reasonable price and was wanting to try it out. Figures…
I love modern market but it is so god damn overpriced.
If you do the account thing online, you accumulate good rewards. I feel like I’m able to use $10 off about every 4th order or so. Not scientific there, but I got MM today online and when I put in my account email, $10 off and I was like – again?.
Looks like the $7 Tuesday deal got a modern makeover! Time to spice up the Monday blues! 💃🌯
Wheatsville used to do some great meal special once a week for a box of hot food. I think they stopped when the pandemic started.
