That is my rule of thumb with most plants, KEEP them picked. 🙂 It makes such a difference as to the production. Especially true for beans, peas, and cukes too. I have a garden away from where I live and the last time I visited, there was a zucchini which got bigger than I thought one could possibly grow – it looked like a watermelon. lol !!!
We always keep one to two plants to allow one zucchini to grow to save seed for the next years garden….

Awesome tips! I find that really really big ones are best for BBQing and baking.Small ones are nice for cooking.
