Got my flame suit fully on for this one – I know the Lakeview was a Toronto staple for cheap, 24/7 greasy spooner diner food, and it’s absolutely not that in any way anymore and it’s tragic to lose that piece of history.

However at the same time, what is there now in this new concept also seems like a cool addition to the Ossington strip. Had no idea the chef was behind the Haifa Room as well which is super popular & fresh.

I steered clear of the Lakeview reopening because of the Google reviews, but now realizing that wasn’t fair.

Ya good luck. 19$ for a fucking club sandwich? 24$ for a Ruben????? GTFO

  3. This is just a PR piece after they got blasted for adding caviar and upping the prices.
