Aphids can be concerning to find in the garden and while its tempting to react by spraying pesticides I often find it better to wait. It feels like you are making the wrong decision by ignoring them but often times spraying pesticide won’t really do anything anyway. I will spray with some water at the start to try and slow them down but eventually the lady bugs or ladybeetles always show up. If you killed everything to begin with they have no reason to be there and once the aphids inevitably return you will be left with the same problem. Instead of fighting I choose to create a paradise for bugs and all life in general so that the garden can balance itself out. The ladybug larva then come in and cleanup all the aphids for me. The first year was rough but now that I have reached more a of balance my garden has never been healthier or happier!

What if there are no ladybugs/eggs?
Molasses water will repel aphids as well. The minerals in molasses will provide nutrients.
Unfortunately there are no lady bugs on my balcony π I ordered some but we'll see if they arrive alive and if they stay on the balcony π
What a beautiful Garden! π

TY. I have seen these ladybug larvae but didn't know what they were. I now also know what ladybug eggs look like. I only use Cheyenne pepper power, Cheyenne peppe flakes steeped in water, and used to sprey insects when there is not any evidence of beneficial insects. Otherwise, I hand-picked things like tomato horn worms (assisting the wasps who lay eggs on the worms) and Japanese bean beatles, blended together with water and Cheyenne pepper and sprayed onto the beans…also plant beans away from hollyhocks which attract Japanese bean beatles. 3-year rotation planting helps, too. But I am sure you already know this. Anyway, I love your videos. π
I had the same situation this year and the same reaction π. All the companion planting and no pesticide approach has helped. Tonnes of tomatoes on the way.
I think you speak at 200 miles an hour
If you ever get tomato hornworms pick them off, make sure you get every sneaky lil one, and use them as fish bait.π π
Ladybugs and French marigolds help create the perfect tomato plant β€
It never even occured to me to spray pestcides.
"Turns around and instantly devours it whole"? π€¨ You just showed me the video bro, don't lie to my face and gaslight me so I gotta rewatch to make sure! ππ€£
