I’m thinking of using [this recipe](https://midwestmodernmomma.com/slow-cooker-chicken-dumplings/#recipe) but doubling it. It would have 4-5 chicken breasts, 3 pounds of carrots, and 3 pounds of peas. I have a 6 quart slow cooker. If I’m cooking this much food do I need to lengthen the cooking time of 6 hours on low to longer?

I want to get this right and not have an undercooked dinner. Just thought I would see what you all think. Thank you.

There’s a good chance you’ll need closer to 8 hours on low for the chicken to be fully cooked. Though there’s still a chance it’ll be done an hour or so before that. 8 hours is playing it safe, but you may have (slightly) overcooked chicken
