Nahhhhh… My ex ate mustard & ketchup on his eggs!!!!

  2. Yoyo_Ma86

    I think it’s gross, but I know it’s common.

  3. It’s pretty common, every 4 year old I know does the same thing

  4. NewOpposite8008

I used to! Now I use franks. It’s not gross

  5. oyasumi_juli

My wife will eat eggs with ketchup. I think it’s nasty, but to be fair I think ketchup on anything is disgusting.

  6. Polishing_My_Grapple

I grew up with ketchup on eggs. Now I use hot sauce mainly, but switch to ketchup sometimes. Not disgusting imo.

  7. cosmicfertilizer

    Shit on eggs = gross
Ketchup on eggs = a reasonable accompaniment

  8. renewedlife79

i like to cut up hot dogs and cook them in oil and then scramble eggs into it and i eat that smothered in ketchup.

any other mix-ins i use salsa.

  9. Snug_The_Cat

Not gross but its a bit of an all or nothing kind of thing. Not too many people in the middle. I think a lot of it was how you grew up.

I find it gross but I’m also polite enough not to tell someone else that their food is disgusting to me.

Tell your partner to piss up a rope. I always put ketchup on my eggs. It’s my life.

  12. pocketMagician

Your partner hasn’t lived. That’s my comfort food since childhood

I don’t understand how you can eat eggs without, at least, ketchup. I’d accept salsa, or hot sauce, but it has to be something. Plain, scrambled eggs are too dry and almost tasteless.

  14. TRIGMILLION

I thought your toast was covered in ketchup too at first and yes gross. That little bit you have on your eggs is fine.

  15. EvernightStrangely

Nope. But then again, I grew up eating it because of my dad.

  16. TechnicalSeason8330

Ketchups and eggs is as American as peanut butter and jelly. Eggs with strawberry jam on the other hand is a different matter…

  17. deadeyediva

i always put ketchup on my scrambled eggs.

  18. ThatMBR42

Not my favorite, but it’s far from disgusting.

  19. MalusMalum70

Not gross, eat what you want. But there are definitely tomato based upgrades that you would likely find enhance the flavor of your meal.

  20. msintrovert000

I enjoy ketchup on my scrambled eggs!

  21. Gentrified_potato02

Not gross at all, as long as the eggs are scrambled. Otherwise, yeah, it’s a bit weird.

  22. RimTheIdiot

I think I just despise ketchup so much that I’m biased against *anything* with ketchup

  23. Brentums

I’ve put ketchup on my eggs since I was a child lol

  24. kingSliver187

Nope i almost always eat it with ketchup. I make tomato eggs all the time too which use ketchup as part of recipe

  25. arageclinic

If putting ketchup in my eggs is wrong, I don’t wanna be right. I also put American cheese on my scrambled eggs. Cooper sharp American if I have it.

  26. junijupiterj

In Japan there is a common dish called Omurice that is an omelette with ketchup on top. So I would say no it’s not gross.

  27. grimmistired

Isn’t that extremely common? And I mean I don’t eat eggs or ketchup but I don’t think they’re gross

  28. ThirstyOne

No. Eggs and ketchup rule! It’s the perfect egg condiment. The four components of flavor are salt, fat, acid and heat (I’d list sugar too). Egg takes care of the heat and fat (assuming it’s cooked in butter or oil), salt is common enough on eggs and the vinegar from the ketchup adds a bit of tanginess to it that’s sorely needed, complimented with sweetness. No other acid that I can think of works that well with eggs. Unless you genuinely just don’t like the how it tastes, people who think it’s no good are just snobs who don’t understand how flavor works and look down their nose at humble condiments like ketchup.

  29. Inevitable_Silver_13

Some people like it. If there are potatoes in it then I might. It’s certainly not gross or unusual enough to food shame someone.

  30. I have no problem with it. To me, it’s like eating an omelet with tomatoes. Just treat ketchup as a seasoning and it’s fine. Everyone has their own tastes and enjoyments from them, why shame them for it?

  31. Honestly, ketchup on eggs is so far into the range of normal. People rag on it on the internet but I think it’s not weird at all.

  32. just_an_ugly_peasant

why is there a piece of shit in your egg

  33. ojdidntdoit4

imo it is gross but i’ve seen enough people do it that i wouldn’t question you if you did that in front of me

  34. DannyGrind

Ketchup, Mayo, and mustard are the three most versatile and awesome condiments in the world, dating back hundreds of years in culinary history. Put them on whatever you want. It isn’t gross. You’re enjoying something that at one time was only available to royalty and the mega wealthy, but has been so bastardized through the years, people forget how exceptional they are.

  35. Gallifrey1963

Thought this was normal. The only person i know who doesn’t eat eggs with ketchup is my father, and we all make fun of him for it.

  36. Qnofputrescence1213

I’ve eaten scrambled eggs with ketchup since I was probably 8 and my aunt introduced me to it. It’s amazing.

Now what is weird is my Dad and my Grandma ate French toast with ketchup and not syrup. It’s not as bad as you might think, but it’s definitely not something I would choose to do.

  37. grittytoddlers90

Gustubus non disputantem est. – one should not argue about tastes. Live you’re life and fuck the haters

  38. Swordbreaker925

It’s gross to me, but I really don’t care what sauce people put on their food. It’s as dumb as the steak snobs seething over people who like steak sauce.

  39. Aditeuri

This is incredibly popular. Taste shaming is what’s *actually* gross.
