[Toronto Life] What’s on the menu at Daphne (Bay & Richmond St W), a massive mid-century-inspired modern American restaurant by the owners of Patria, Sofia, Byblos & Amal – with a 2,000 sqft patio – including savoury churros and a caviar-topped baked potato

Normally expect everything in the Financial District to be awful, but the group opening this (Patria/Sofia/Byblos/Amal) has some impressive other locations – nice to have more local representation in the area vs another Earls/Cactus/SIR chain.

Fully intend on going for a beer + those savoury Dorito queso churros.

Byblos was hot garbage when I went this year so I’m not sure if I’m into this. Incredibly long wait times (over 1 hour) for scant portions of food (one skewer with zero sides) for ridiculous prices ($38). We waited over one hour for one skewer!!!! The other food didn’t come out much faster either.
