It’s been years since I’ve been to Bob’s, the ambience is such a breath of fresh air

Not literally though, possibly not even figuratively.

The crushed ice in those glasses always brings the nostalgia waves. Plus the season salt which isn’t in your pic but I can taste it as I type this

Used to live nearby and was eating dinner there one night and saw a kid get assaulted by the LAPD. Pepper spray point blank in his face.

Which one is this? I went to the one in Northridge and was so disappointed.

Not some of the best foods but man, the ambiance and nostalgia is off the charts. We even make the trek to Burbank all the way from Culver City sometimes just to get some of that sweet chili spag.

  6. God, I went there a couple of months ago because of nostalgia and it was SAD CITY.

That’s what I need. (I’m on day 2 of one of two 48 hour fasts. I eat on Wednesdays. I think I’m gonna be naughty and break it with one of these bad boys.)

  8. Love the Bob’s in Toluca Lake. There was one time I got home from a flight at 3am. The person watching my house was supposed to leave the key I gave them hidden near the front door, but they forgot. Queue me chilling in Bob’s for 3 hours until my friend woke up and was able to get my key to me. Only place open at that time of night for 5 miles in any direction.

I don’t eat red meat but I love the vibe of this place. Everything new tries to out “sleek” each other and the old fashioned look is so appealing in comparison.

I went to their Yelp because it had like three and a half stars. I got curious so I sorted through some of the bad reviews. Holy shit, it’s a gold mine. Nearly every bad review has the restaurant’s manager replying to it, and some of them are seriously hilarious. This guy pulls no punches.
