Suddenly craving for a lot of mulberry, but I haven’t seen anywhere that sell it.The only source of mulberry that I know is the tree in the neighborhood, that I have spent 2 hours to pick a palm-full of mulberry smaller than a chilli ( burning my neck and armpit). I am going to slowly dying inside, if I can’t ever find any where that sell mulberry.
Thanks in advance.

Their shelf life is extremely short, so I’ve never seen them in stores. Maybe someone has them at St. Lawrence Market on Saturdays, but I doubt it.

The best way to pick them is with a big tarp that you put under the tree, then shake it. The ripe berries just fall off onto the tarp, it’s very efficient.

You can try Forbes Wild Foods on the Danforth or online. They have some interesting foraged foods, inventory comes and goes with what’s seasonal.

There’s a lot of mulberry’s in toronto parks. you can usually also just wander around a park and grab handfuls.

  6. Go to your Afghan grocery store. They usually will have loads of them. But often the dried versions.
    They call them ‘toot’
