  1. Im just hoping this 100+ week will wipe out the powdery mildew that was enjoying the cooler more humid weather we were having. Putting a milk jug with water with a teeeeny hole at the base of your plant in the morning can help keep it hydrated and provide a little evaporation protection where it sits on these really hot days too.

  2. Perfect timing, I was wondering if I needed to get rid of the dead leaves on my zucchini. That is indeed a huge leaf! TY.

  3. I have been doing this with all my vegetables except for pumpkins. I just dropped the leaf under or next to plants. This has help me with my soil with plants that eat all stuff out of soil. I also don't rake up old leaves, just leave them where they are. I also use old shirts and pillow cases over tomatoes cages that over my peppers to help shade them in Texas heat. Thanks for all your tips and video.

  4. I ❤ your shows!! I always learn something new. Wether it be about hummers or plants. I love all your hard work on the plants and everything you do !!✌️💙💚❤💛

  5. I’ve followed all your advice regarding zucchini, the planting the feeding even the baby formula but I have to give up on zucchini. Last year I had one plant and I got one zucchini due to vine bores killing it. This year I grew two plants, covered them with tulle and hand pollinated and babied them till I had to uncover them. It’s hot in Oklahoma and humid and all my work got me one zucchini again before the bugs came. Plant looked great one day and was laying on the ground the next. I’m done. It’s way too much work in this state. All my neighbors lost theirs too. Either from bores or squash bugs. Tomatoes, walking onions and peppers are all doing fine!

  6. I look forward to your videos you are so positive and happy it makes me happy thank you🌱🥔🥗🥦🥒🥕🌽🍅🥬🧅🧄🍠🫑❤❤❤

  7. We have bought 5 walking onions from Etsy sellers and we were told Is they would grow but none of them have, after watching your videos we realized that none of them even looked like Walking onions. Is there anyway we can purchase some walking onions to grow and a tree collard clipping from you? We would pay for shipping as well we are in WA.

  8. That was a great analogy for why not to water in the heat of the afternoon. The leaves that is. Learned that the hard way plus brings on fungus.

  9. Hi Robbie, is that zucc at 5:23 in partial shade? My zuccs are failing again. i have a shade cloth over them (2 plants) and am watering early in the morning, then mid day watering the ground right around the base by hand as well as two water bottles half in the ground, then the same in the evening. The hand watering is with cool water.

  10. I'm in Phoenix. Everything dies from the heat. Started trying to grow zucchinni in Sept. Too cold. Summer? too hot. even with shade…sad.😢

  11. Thank you.🙏 Robbie. Zucchini👩‍🌾🥒🌮🫔🥒 is the most favorite Veggie plant my husband and i eat a lot of . We follow your recipes you have made in your kitchen. 👨‍🍳🥒🍞🧇🥘 Endless what we can make with good ol Zucchini.

  12. Thanks Robbie, my finger limes and black cobra peppers and tomatoes are doing great in this heat. (Tucson, Az zone 9b) It's only cooling to 95 during the night and spiking over 108-110 during the day. I love watching your garden thrive.

  13. Hi Robbie. I'm growing some Cuban oregano. Thanks for all you wealth of info. 97 here in va

  14. My zucchini is Not doing well in the Texas. We have been 100 plus for 2 weeks no end in sight. Maybe in September.

  15. You and Gary are such a comfort. I hope your fans are a comfort for you two as well. Missing Kittie. And it's ok to talk about her. Woofy woof

  16. 👍🏻♥️ Great advice Robbie!
We are projected to have 105 Sat n 106 Sun up here in N. Cali 🥵 I water very very early in the day, and fill up bird baths. And yes, always check the temperature of water first.

  17. I love this type of tutorial video because you tell us exactly what to do 😊. My cucumbers and tomato plants are really stressing out lol. It was so hot and dry here for about 3 weeks. I was watering morning and in the evening and my containers still tried to dry out. 😊❤❤😊

  18. You are a great tudor. Thank you for your advice on zucchinis. We are hot here too. Thank you again and have a great day ❤❤😊

  19. Gonna go out this evening give my plants a good trim and feed them. Thanks ☺️

  20. My neighbor ALWAYS waters her garden midday with a spraynozle, and yet, her stuff seems to not mind at all😊 I am so careful and I get the darn vine borers😁 but if I see squash bug eggs on her squashes, I take care of them!! (Cause they then hatch and come to my squash plants!) I have to cut their milkweed pods, they are getting big, and we don't want seeds flying everywhere, the multiply like crazy as it is via roots! Here is to hoping my zucchini will bear this year! I have seeds soaking for a third planting, staggering them this year!

  21. So glad I watched this video today. Ugh it's been so hot and dry here in Missouri. My poor cukes have struggled. I never knew you could trim out a squash, cuke ect. I'm going to try that tomorrow. Thanks❤

  22. Thank you! I have a lot of cutting including a run away rose bush. It is bushing out big time. I got no flowers this year.

  23. That baby formula trick made all the flowers on all my squash and cucumbers plants fall off.

I wish I would have just got the normal fertilizer beads I’ve always used.

    I’m so
    Sorry I did it.

I bought bowls n did exactly what you said.

And I use my own water compost tea but I haven’t used it but only a bit to see what the baby formula would do. 😢Not good.

  24. 104 in texas today! Put 40% shade cloth up. Watering in am. Have 4 yelow squash growing. Still male flowers on the zucchini. 2 watermelons- am supporting them with Tulle. Gave everyone formula, I think it helped. Maybe I should give more water- you put lots more on them with the hose than I do with a dipper.
Thanks for all the good info! Ihave trimmed the damaged leaves off before, will check to see if there are more to trim.
