Sorry about the state of the glass!
I’ve been seeing more New Zealand wines being posted recently, which is making me happy!
Anyway, I really like this wine. I haven’t had a lot of wines from Pyramid Valley, due to price and availability, but jumped on this one.
Beautifully balanced ripe stone fruit, acidity, light oak, and minerality.
We had this alongside salmon, mussels, green veg and kumara, all cooked on hot embers, to celebrate Matariki, the Maori new year, and a new public holiday for Aotearoa NZ.
