  1. So dumb. I totally get not making employees wear masks, but if they want to, to feel safer, that should be up to them entirely. One of the weirdest things that has come out of this post pandemic world is the bizarre, unhinged behavior that a lot of people exhibit of being offended or angry at another person’s decision to wear a face mask, that in no way remotely affects them. Fuckin losers, the snowflakes that are offended by people wearing masks and In-N-Out management

You’d think a food establishment would encourage masks for a clean food preparation environment, or at least be okay with employees who want to achieve this on their own regardless if they’re feeling ill or not. But no, let’s make sure our customers can see our employee’s smile and facial features because *that’s* going to make the customer experience so much better.

They can fuck all the way off with that shit. Especially since…

    >Workers in California and Oregon who would like to protect themselves from COVID-19 and other illnesses by wearing a medical mask will still be allowed to, the L.A. Times reported.

Owners of In-N-Out Burger are big donors to Donald Trump.

My kid is laying in bed with strep AND the flu – we ran to her dr yesterday bc her temp was 103.8. Apparently Hand, F&M is going around too

It’s so over the top to ban masks for people who feel it’s necessary to use them.

Ya’ll can have your nasty flu burgers.

Noted but I’m still going to eat at In-N-Out.

So, if an employee comes in, who has obvious cold symptoms, but not necessarily a fever, but has a runny nose, and occasional cough, does the supervisor tell that person to wear a mask? Or does the supervisor send them home because they’re too sick to work?

Wtf does this have to do with Austin food? Can we please leave politics out of this sub? Before it becomes the clone of r/Austin?

Don’t you think that an article about a restaurant chain operating in Austin, Texas belongs to r/austinfood ??

Should it be in r/Austinsports r/austintraffic?

Why is the topic sensitive to you! Are you anti-mask and/or anti-vaccines? Maybe anti-public health?

I work with food, and I wear a mask when I grill because I have COPD. The public can see me, I do food demo. Every-once-in-awhile someone asks if I am sick. That always confuses me, since quite a few times it’s someone that I have already told previously that I have COPD. I was wearing a mask before the pandemic during “cedar season” here in Austin. It is no ones business why I am wearing a mask. I shouldn’t have to explain my underlying condition to you or anyone else. I work in a grocery store, plenty of people still wear masks. I would never ask them why.

  11. Sounds like the Church of Satan should get involved and make wearing masks an optional part of observing the religion 😀

Employee: Hey boss, I’m feeling a little sick, but ok to work. Should I wear a mask so I don’t get others sick?
Boss: Nope! Don’t worry, come in. It’s cool if we all get sick.

  13. In n out’s quality has gone way downhill and they have a long history of forcing their beliefs on their customers. This is America don’t force your beliefs on me, let me wear a mask if I so choose. The double standards from the extreme right is never ending.

😆 The new rule goes into effect on Aug. 14, according to the memo, and is aimed at workers in Texas, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and Utah. Workers in California and Oregon who would like to protect themselves from COVID-19 and other illnesses by wearing a medical mask will still be allowed to do so, the L.A. Times reported.

Interesting: SF still wearing masks and my nephew just got Covid. Texas, you rarely see masks and never hear about covid anymore.

Worried about masks on employees when they should worry about making food that tastes good 🤢

Mediocre burger served slowly with Bible verses I don’t need or want on my burger wrapper fry container and paper food tray. Eat local burgers.
Ignore these idiots who are not acting very Christian despite [slathering textual condiments I don’t want](https://i.imgur.com/rSMIJ6g.png) all over everything.

  18. This makes me like them even more. Hope Bucees does the same in the future
