Does anyone know where in Manhattan or Northern Brooklyn that I could find a restaurant with a sandwich like either of the attached? The NYT recipe sounds amazing, very similar to my favorite sandwich from a place on cape cod, but I simply do not have the wherewithal to make blueberry jam. Thank you!!!

Not a restaurant but I think Lenwich has or had a thanksgiving sandwich like this.

blueberry jam is just blueberries, a splash of water, sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt heated in a sauce pan and mushed up

  3. Capriottis has the Bobbie, which is basically a thanksgiving hero. Abundant Turkey and cranberry.

It’s such a New England thing you only find it down here around thanksgiving unfortunately.

  7. You should definitely try to make it yourself! I’ve made this exact recipe with store-bought jam and it was great! The recipe even has a notes section saying you can use store-bought jam and add some salt, lemon and garam masala to make it more like the home-made one. Just put in however much effort you’re willing to, it’ll still taste delicious.
