HEB has all the “sriracha” except the one kind we all want.
I didn’t realize until now just how many copy cats there are out here.

The kind you want is being resold online at ridiculous prices because of the shortage
Like_Ottos_Jacket
Get the Yellowbird jalapeño. It’s better anyway.
Speedwizard106
Diamondback tastes fine to me.
dontberidiculousfool
Some are fine but none taste ‘right’.

It’s a type of hot sauce. There are no copy cats. Sriracha is the town that it was first produced in. Huy Fong Foods is the most popular version in this country but it has nasty stuff in it like Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Bisulfite as Preservatives. I use other brands that are just as good.

I actually really like the Trader Joe’s sriracha. It’s not the same as Huy Fong, but I like it because it has more of a garlic taste, and is a bit more viscous.
MissyJ11
If you’re talking about Huy Fong – no we don’t all want that one. Haven’t bought it for years even when it was available.

The J Lek seems to be actually made in Thailand, it could be more authentic than the US knock off version you’re looking for.

According to HEB’s site, the Nutty Brown H‑E‑B (out west on 290) and the Wolf Lakes Village H‑E‑B (in Georgetown) have it in stock. You can probably find it at your local H-E-B, you just have to catch it at the right time. Ask a manager when they expect the next shipment.

What’s the point of this post? Who gives a shit if the hot sauce you want isn’t available. Sriracha has been scarce for a while now. Nothing new here .

If you want Sriracha, go to the Asian grocery (e.g. hana world)

Trader Joe’s Sriracha is S tier

There’s enough pretty good alternatives to the Huy Fong sriracha to find a good one, but I haven’t found a decent alternative to their sambal. I miss it so much
maxxpowerr
Wow, you mean the one kind that is well-known to be in very short supply isn’t available? Crazy.

Google Sriracha shortage. Huy Fong Sriracha likely won’t be returning to shelves for a good while… people are saying this shortage could go for a year or two.

That Roland one is absolutely fire and the best you’ll find there …
Rosie2514
Try Underwood Ranches. ( The ORIGINAL supplier of Huy Fong)
Thegoldfather
Huy Fong is and will always be the OG.
Shame they couldn’t trademark/copyright. So many people eating off off their green top/red sauce through about 100 types of products. I hope they come back stronger than ever
malko2
In Switzerland we get exactly one kind *sigh*
mareksoon
Most I’ve tried and don’t like because they’re too sweet.
Thanks for posting this! I *finally* caved/remembered and ordered some from [Underwood Ranches](https://underwoodranches.com/) to try. Went ahead and got a six-pack, too.

No one has the Sriracha we want, don’t go blaming HEB

Sacrilege! I also love the Yellowbird habanero but can’t beat Rooster for spicy yet not debilitating kick. Yellowbird is best used in moderation.

Roland isnt bad. I tried diamondback, not bad. Liked Roland a little better.

There’s a jalapeño shortage.
nothatdoesntgothere
For what it’s worth, the Diamondback is solid.
gutterking6
The one youre looking for is very mediocre. Try other brands.
bud_diesel420
Everyone be sleeping on the Polar sriracha. I prefer it to Huy Fong myself.
MC_Adam_Not_Jen
that’s what happens when a business pisses off their only source of ingredients…
that sriracha mayo on the bottom left is pretty great though.
