Been looking for a place that sells tomato pies (ie. Philly style tomato pie – https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_tomato_pie) in GTA (downtown preferable).
Tried checking out some bakeries/restaraunts, but didn’t see anything in that style.
Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

I’ve never heard it called tomato pie, but the description you posted sounds exactly like the pizza Roma bakery sells. They are located in Stoney Creek, but many GTHA Fortinos stores sell it. You usually see it in their bakery section on a wooden rack. It is more common in Burlington and Hamilton, but I’ve seen it in Toronto too.
I know Sicilian isn’t the same and pretty close. ZuZu Cafe on Dundas E. near Regent Park has a great one at lunch.

head up to woodbridge and go to any italian bakery. st phillips does it. its not called a tomato pie tho up here.
