    Chicken Tikka Masala, inedible sweetness.

  2. lets-try-again2

I’m more interested in the picture. Where’s the rest of the beans and cheese?

  3. amore_pomfritte

Unless you’ve got a real good chippy, fish n chips with crap curry sauce.

  4. Qinetique

Steak and kidney pie. I know let’s make a delicious steak pie inedible by putting rubbery offal in it.

Never really liked sunday dinners, meats usually tasteless and dry even with gravy.

Baked beans in general are just disgusting, I remember a headteacher trying to force feed them to me in primary school.
My mum wasn’t happy as she knew how much I hated them, she used to mix them in with chicken when I first started eating solids and apparently I used to move the beans to one side of my mouth, chew and eat my chicken then spit the beans out. Still to this day I cannot swallow a baked bean they literally makes me gag.

You take that back about my cunt jacket potato, beans, and cheese.

  8. Daddyshark_420

Fish and chips, too much grease and the fish tastes of nothing but greasy batter

  9. That picture is like my quick dinner after work. It is a staple.

A korma is like taking a perfectly good curry and removing all the depth of flavour, then adding a heaped tablespoon of meh.

Cheesy chips. Chips in gravy. Pesto and pasta. Cucumber sandwich.

  12. Key-Metal-7297

That pic is the classic over rated dish, the only other thing that comes to mind is quiche 🤢🤮

  13. yourlocallidl

Fish and chips. It’s always disappointing, and believe me I’ve tried many places.

  14. Tosaveoneselftrouble

Cornish pasty. Can’t stand ‘em, hot or cold.

  15. Garconavecunreve

Cherry Bakewells can’t even sniff a Caldwell pudding but are way more common

  16. bigdogg2783

Gregg’s sausage rolls. They’re fucking minging, and I’m willing to take the downvotes to put this out there.

  17. Soggy_Answer3682

Not a dessert, but Walnut Whips can go fuck themselves. As can the cheese board… why is three pieces of cheese more expensive than everything else on the desert menu? It’s fucking insane!

  18. Big-End-9824

Fish and chips. Some of the chippies are just minging. Chips are cut bought batter soggy.

  19. MackenziiWolff

yknow what, op. try sweet potato with beans and cheese, thats such an underated combo.

  20. OnlyAnNpc

Not overrated at all, jacket potato is S tier in terms of food on a world wide scale.

  21. BigStackaveli

Shepherds pie, its just so boring

Lancashire hotpot uses the same ingredients but in a much better way and is 10000x better

  22. Hoxtonwalks

Not sure if this classes as a dish but afternoon tea- scones are nice but mad overrated, paired with some boring finger sandwiches some of which are cucumber, gross!

  23. Branston Pickle. Or cheese and pickle sandwich.

    Revolting

  24. Matt-J-McCormack

None… the mocking of British food comes with a fuck ton of classism because it’s always mocking what is cheap and available to the working class. If anything each and everyone is underrated and under appreciated.

  25. ReiZoGrow

Toad in the hole. It doesn’t sound, taste or resemble a meal suitable for consumption.

  26. Cartepostalelondon

Jacket potatoes for a start. And baked beans.

  27. thrashmetaloctopus

That photo is the perfect example of what Americans think British food is, an actual jacket potato if made properly is so much nicer looking and tasting than that monstrosity

  28. Sophiiebabes

Steak. Eww. Never had one that wasn’t stringy, chewy, blubby, gristly or just bleugh. Probably about 60% of the reason I went veggie.

  29. Pristine-Pay-1697

Shepards pie, bland and boring I hate it.

  30. ABatponyBrony

For me it’s a toss up between Pork Pies and Scotch eggs.
Good if fresh and cooked by someone who knows what they are doing (when I went to Cambridge food festival there was a stand that had fresh scotch Eggs with runny yolks which were incredible. Also when I was at college I made pork pies from fresh and ate them hot and just amazing) but the supermarket ones are terrible, bland, dry and the worst part about a picnic or a family day out where we bring our own food

  31. Sweet Zombie Jesus, there is some Cat 1 shitposting going on here, but here we go with my particular hot take.

    Back bacon.

Nothing wrong with it, but compare it with the versatility and flavour range of sausage, back bacon is just a bit of a middle grade food at best.

  32. scousethief

Something perfectly simple and simply perfect. All that’s missing is the rest of the beans and the cheese and some melted butter…. And a grill to melt the bloody cheese. Fucking heathens.
