Going here for the first time this weekend and don’t know what to get! I’m eyeing the cold udon dishes… everything on the menu sounds amazing tho. What do you typically like getting here? Ideas and suggestions please! 🍜🍣

Possibly unhelpful, but consider going to Raku instead? When I went to TsuruTonTan, it felt really off and Americanized. The broth was sickly sweet, and the udon didn’t have the proper bounce. These two aren’t even in the same league.
I like the cold mentaiko udon. Disclaimer: I only order delivery, but I’ve always found the udon to be delightfully chewy.
I always get the Spicy cold beef noodle
And Grilled Maitake Mushroom appetizer. Their sushi is great too. Enjoy!!
Ya Raku is leagues above
I’ve had many of their udon dishes over the years, and really, it just depends on what you like or what you’re in the mood for. The broths and ingredients and flavors are totally different. Cold udon might be a little boring but it’s tough to beat on a hot day! Note that they offer combos which are a pretty good value (if you’re hungry enough, that is).
