My favorite sandwich in LA until Maison Matho came along

My fave is the ham sandwich.

Love this place. Amazing sandwiches and amazing ingredients.
However… last time I was there they were so overwhelmed and the guy working to make the sandwiches was lax on the hygiene, to put it nicely. Reached into the garbage with his gloves just before making my sandwich and I had to ask him to get a fresh piece of bread and change gloves. The food was all over the board and they were barely keeping it together. I ate the sandwich of course and will still have this place top dove in the city, but I hope they are more careful.

The new Spanish is quite good too. Great Hollywood Bowl choice

I missed this place so much. I always get the prosciutto one. It is my favorite place for lunch, esp when I live walking distance-ish there. Sigh.

One of the greatest perks of my job was working close to this place. I love many a sandwich, but this spot, it feels special. The simplicity and flavor is just so delightful. It’s a gem.

The Prosciutto is my favorite, but the salami is 2. I’ll usually get one of each and have a meal for later.

An all time, best in LA type spot. I always get their sandwiches on focaccia instead of the baguette. To me it’s far superior but somehow I’m the only person I know who picks this bread option? Justice for all the focaccia fans out there!!!

Shhhhhh…. You’re not supposed to tell people about the best sandwich in LA

Did they change their baguette recently? I remember it used to cut up the entirety of my gums but it’s gotten more mushy.

Great prices, a capresse sandwich is usually $13-14 but here it’s $9.50
