This might be one of those rare unicorn restaurants in LA that hits all the marks. The decor is very nice, cocktails were delicious and the food was great. Everything we ordered was solid except the beef short rib in madras curry, which tasted great but was too tough. I was very impressed with their dessert though, a mango ghewar. They took over the old Faith & Flower location in DTLA. I’m definitely going back to try the rest of their menu.
Food (faves starred):
– Dahi Puri ⭐️
– Crisps ⭐️
– Cauliflower 65
– Chicken Malai Tikka
– Lamb Keema
– Beef short rib curry
– Mango Ghewar ⭐️
~$120 per person after everything.
Service was decent.
Valet parking is $15.
They have a nice bar but I’m not sure you can order food there. I’ll verify on my next visit.
Very vegetarian friendly menu. Not great for vegans, as far as I could tell.

Great review. Have been meaning to try this place.
Well damn. Must try!
Honestly good but not worth the price. Baadmash in my opinion is better. I understand the take they are going for but as an Indian it doesn’t it the mark
Some that the OP mentions and gave a star to were really good but dahi puri is not worth the price.
“hits all the marks”
“$120 per person”
So, not ALL the marks then…

Everything we tried at Baar Baar LA was done really well and was delicious . A lot of comments here saying they can get better Indian food for cheaper and that is correct but Baar Baar food is a unique take from the chef on Indian dishes. Being from India, I was skeptical of what the food would be like but I enjoyed every bit of it. Yes, it’s pricey at $100+ per person but worth it.
Been hearing very positive things about this place. Thanks for the report!
OOOOOH this one’s new to me! thank you for sharing! that cauliflower dish looks especially tasty
