Carbone is nonsense for rich tourists. You want the real deal, you go to Arthur Ave in the Bronx. Go to Dominic’s. Walk around and visit the little specialty shops.

Check out Sottocasa – I have only been to the Harlem location, but this place has fantastic neopolitan style pizza. Recommended to me by someone from Italy who said this was the only place he would go to for pizza.
