Hey fellow spice heads, I have a few questions regarding these peppers. Does anyone know what peppers these are? Does anyone else dig their grubby fingers in pickled pepper jars for a quick snack? Lastly, am I slowly embalming myself snacking on these every day? I love popping one or two before I get cooking dinner each night. Thanks in advance!

    Cascabella

Yes. Unless my wife is reading this, in which case I always use a fork.

Yes. In fact consuming these peppers is standard part of the preparation for becoming an undead lich.

I got my start on pepperoccinis umpteen decades ago, but I bet 9-year-old me would have loved these too.

You used to be able to get these on your burger or on the side at In-n-Out Burger but I’ve heard they recently switched to the much less appealing pickled banana pepper, which is very disappointing.

Expensive but good, not hot but good with pizza.

  4. They are in n out’s current savior for their shortage on those peppers

A tip after your done with all the peppers, you can make some spicy/tangy quick pickles with the leftover brine. I like baby cucumbers cut thinly, they pickle pretty quickly within a week and they’re just as tasty

I eat these almost daily. I’ll walk by the fridge and grab a couple randomly and eat em. Stem and all.

Growing up I called them Golden Gate Chillis cause that was the brand my grandma bought. Go great on a tuna sandwich.
