When lining square or rectangular pans with parchment or wax paper, cut the paper bigger on all sides by the depth of the pan. Then cut in at each 90-degree corner the same depth of the pan. Then press paper easily into pan for no wrinkles and a perfect fit.

    I just fold the corners. Basically, corners end up folded in clockwise (or counter-clockwise). Easier, no need to use scissors, and makes it water tight so pan will be perfectly clean.
