Thanks for the words. Ate there many years ago. very spartan decor, but it’s this authenticity that’s such a rarity nowadays.

The restaurant is Takesushi in Sunnyside if anyone was curious.

Kurumazushi, Hatsuhana, and Sushi Ann are much older. I used to be a fan and regular of Takesushi when they were in midtown, but the quality took a huge nose dive after moving to Sunnyside and it became a one man shop when they had 3-4 sushi chefs in midtown.

Off topic, but wow that narrator is trying way to hard to have an accent, I couldn’t finish watching the video, it sounded so forced.
