We were running errands and randomly decided to stop at Pijja Palace about 20 mins after they opened. We were seated at the bar.

This was our first time. It filled up almost immediately.

The food was great. The mango malai lemonade was one of my favorite things.

Onion rings were crispy, hot, full of flavor. The chutney was SO GOOD I want to drink it.

Lamb sliders: juice, lamby, mildly spicy.

Chutney pizza was tangy and yummy. Pasta was creamy and satisfying.

Chai soft serve was yummy but not very chai flavored. Mostly just sweet, tasted like sugar. Refreshing on a sticky day though.

Overall a great meal. Expensive though, considering it was all vegetarian except the sliders. You can see they add the 19% charge and are snarky about it on the menu. The bill came with a spot for “additional tip” and we left it blank based on the word “additional”. Idk if that was the right thing to do or not.

Don’t worry, I won’t be flying my ass in. Not because of the service charge, because the owner sounds like a dick.

    Edit: not you OP!

This subreddit’s indignation about service charges is so fucking annoying. That’s exactly why they have a note on the menu because of the fucking neckbeards on here are like “oh no the menu was mean to me and service charges are bad”
