Have had this crockpot for a few years and this chalky-feeling “look” appeared about a year ago.

Does anyone know if it’s safe to keep using, or is it like when you have a nonstick pan that gets scratched and you have to throw it out due to chemical leakage when heating and cooking?

IDK but it happens to all my crock pots too. Funny enough I was watching a cooking video on YouTube this weekend and the cook mentioned this exact thing..just keep using it.. it’s part of the aging process of a crockpot is what I gathered. Nothing we did or could prevent. Get a white crockpot.. then maybes it’s less noticable 🤣

Uuuhhh you should clean more thoroughly like scrub it with a brush or scotch brite cleaning sponge or pad and it’ll be fine just scrub it when you wash it..
