Yesterday I went deep sea fishing and caught some mackerel. My brother is currently staying in a house in Marizion which has a small BBQ.

So I played chef and gutted the fish (much to the quasi horror and amusement of my 2 small nephews) S&P plus fresh lemon. Wrapped in foil with a bit of butter.

Paired with tiger prawns and veggy skewers, eaten outside overlooking St Michael’s Mount last night.

Happy seaside summer everyone.

My uncle was telling me the other day about the marshes in Marizion, and how he occasionally saw the starlings flocking about when he was growing up there. Cornwall is just beautiful.

Food looks delicious, can’t get any better

Before I read your description, I was thinking you could be in the Fire Engine. I remember they do a nice fishy meal. Probably not served in foil though.

Mouth waters at the look of the fish in the foil.
