I enjoy listening to the LA-centric “LA Food Podcast” – it’s well produced, regularly updated, and informative.

Are there any podcasts that emphasize on NYC-based restaurants that you all enjoy?

Not a podcast but maybe it can help . I wanted to map in video every good restaurant I found so I made an app for that . It’s free for everyone . The idea is to mark your favorite spots and follow your friends to see theirs . There’s also a public map with everything everyone is posting

    [here it is](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/trustr-app/id1601711672)

There’s one I like called Not Just Bagels, features Utopia Bagel’s Jesse and Scott Spellmen. They talk to a lot of food industry people in general, whether it’s a NYC popup, food network personality, or restaurant owner.

This is slightly tangential, but some episodes of Off Menu with James Acaster and Ed Gamble are fun for this. They interview comedians/minor celebrities about what their “dream meal” would be. Sometimes one or more of the dishes will come from an NYC restaurant, and it’s fun to listen to them wax poetic and sometimes tell little stories of things that happened at the restaurant. Look at the recommendations in the New York section of the restaurants list for an idea of which episodes to start with: https://www.offmenupodcast.co.uk/restaurants
