I used to be against pineapple on pizza. But as you mentioned, I've grown to like the salty and sweet combination.
I don't know why there is so much hate towards pineapple on pizza ,,, if you don't like it, don't eat it. My favorite is still pepperoni and mushroom with black olives, but my second favorite is ham and pineapple, and my third favorite is any other kind of pizza. I never met a pizza I didn't love. We bought a pizza stone, make our own dough and make the best pizza right here at home and save a ton of money.
