This is Stella’s [vanilla butter cake](https://www.seriouseats.com/classic-vanilla-butter-cake-recipe) with a bit of the milk substituted with rum, and her [fruit frosting](https://www.seriouseats.com/strawberry-frosting-recipe) but made with banana powder and rum instead of strawberry.
I initially tried to make her [creamy banana frosting](https://www.seriouseats.com/creamy-banana-frosting-recipe) but it was a disaster, I think Italian buttercream doesn’t like me… I’ll stick to Swiss from now on, it always comes out beautifully.
