

One of my pickle jars is cloudier than the other, cause for concern? I threw the cloudy one in the fridge. Canned last Thursday. Pickle, jalapeño, onion, and garlic. Brine was about 1/4 vinegar and sufficient salt according to a recipe from the ball preserving book.

I know the blue book states if pickling salt isn’t used the liquid can become cloudy. I’m not sure why one is different from the other.
I’ve always used at least 1:1 vinegar 5% to water for brine. Care to share the brine recipe you’re using? You’re using 1/4 vinegar? 4:1 ratio?
