Adding salt on the olives might be a bit overkill at that point. But then again I usually sprinkle some feta cheese on mine, so…
Yes! This is an authentic Greek Salad (Horiatiki). I spent two months backpacking through Greece – mainly the Greek Islands – as a young man and had a lot of horiatiki. I just shake my head when I go to a restaurant in the U.S. and their "Greek Salads" have lettuce and avocado in them.
EDIT: I just had this for lunch with pita bread and hummus on the side. Absolutely delicious!
👏👏👏
Yumm mine came delicious 😋🤤
I don't know why people take so much trouble to remove the bite in things like onion, garlic, beetroot, etc. I love them just as is, especially when they are being combined with other stuff in a salad!
I love the Mediterranean salads ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yummy that looks GREAT. Nice recipe it's all me. Been SICK of thinking about having a fresh Greek Salad I can't get a good Greek Salad local. I have to make my own. This one fits the bill. Thanks for your authentic Mediterranean Greek Salad video. Looks to die for, and I can do it. 👍🙂
Greek cuisine is the best ever 😋

Salem edeki 🥰 I can't wait to make it
Sorry I don’t like the way you work using the tips of your finger like you don’t want to touch the vegetables go back to living room and turned on the 📺 tv
Try this same recipe with diced apple. Really good.
I find that adding the vinegar before the olive oil is preferable and tastes better ??? Anyone else?
I love Traditional Greek salad. Not sure about lettuce though especially at a Mediterranean Restaurant. I’ve made it so many times, but It’s also ok to add or take away food you might like to make it your own. Feta cheese is always a favorite, but I’ve also used different olives and different hood cheeses. I do not like so much oil in my dressing and so I prefer it to have more vinegar. You can add endimines etc…Yum!
Ummm my favorite
I’m in Greece now – that’s exactly it!
Kalamata olives, not calamara.
Many years ago when I was a teenager, I worked at a produce market owned by a Greek and Greek workers. At lunch, they’d prepare a giant Greek salad on huge tin trays. It included tomates , olives , cucumbers, feta, onions – no taking the bite out- what ever for????? vinegar, oil, and slices of French bread. We’d sop the bread into the delicious salad ! Wow. I’ll never forget. Meal fit for a king! BTW…lettuce???
Love it!, its a must try for me…Thanks for sharing…I just subscribed!!
