  1. Thank you ! But one thing I did not get about garlic! I did not seen added garlic! And what was the other spice ather then cumin?

  2. delicious, simple and so affordable. i eat it to everything. i can eat it all day. i cant stop eating hummus. i think i will explode. i think you can have too much hummus. but i think i will have some more cucumber and hummus. then i will explode…

    hummus…
    some people find love,
    i found hummus.
    a short poem for hummus:

slightly bitter and savory dripping down my lip.
brightly fittin in my bread, tomato, cumin,
its part of me, my body is hummus,
and soon ill be another chickpea(hummus).

i still cant believe how pleasing hummus can be, its a perfect sauce, dip and a full plate dish.
i can eat it with veggies, fruits, fungi, nuts and probably more.
i think hummus is the most pure of eats, its so pure it shouldnt be combined with meat. meat kills the planet, thus i couldnt combine them. it would be too painfull. but why have written this text? why are you still reading? have you forgotten about the hummus, you heretic! dont forget the hummus, the hummus will set us free. hummus can turn us around. thats what i see in hummus, in hummus lies a potential beyond the gender binary, postimperialism, comunism. we have to set ourselves free, and this can only be achieved when those who love hummus gather and they love hummus together. be happy for hummus if hummus makes you happy. maybe we need to accept hummus as individuals. they are here, hummus has arrived and they doesnt speak.

  3. I wonder why he said that he was not going to put in any garlic. Could he be saving it for something else?
Also, what kind of liquid was the garlic's pestle sitting in inside that bowl? Judging by its cloudiness, it's not just water.

  4. Do you want me to change your LIFE? There's one reason to use the blender instead of the mortar. Make hummus with 2/3rds roasted chickpeas in the oven, 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes is enough. You can also roast other stuff with it (seasoning, walnuts, pecans, garlic cloves). Mix it in a blender. You can add it to hummus made with a mortar, or just blend it all in the mixer. Unforgettable.

And if you want to be sinful, add "liquid smoke" to it. It completely changes the taste, but it's so good

  5. The tahini was very runny. Most store bought tahini is a thick paste. So a lot of oil in the fresh-made tahini to get the same flavor.

  6. nope, too grainy, no garlic and it's not ice cold. needs to be blended until absolutely smooth, and add some yogurt. there's my 2 cents thrown in. if my hummus is in the fridge for more than a coupla days I'll add more tahini to resuscitate.

  7. Came here by way of YouTube "recommended for you." I clicked on the link because the recipe sounded delicious. I stayed because the video was brief and interesting. I noted it all because the meal sounded tasty. And, in the end, I (a horrible cook) dished up a tasty meal to my family, much thanks to this chef's epic beard. The man has more hair on his chin than I have on my whole scalp!

  8. I guess it won't get any authentic than this. No garlic, no ice water, no cumin, etc.

    Simple dish.
    Simpel ingredients.
    Simple Process.

  9. You inspire me when I watch how you make hummus in this traditional way.

  10. Can't go wrong with authentic videos made by the people from the culture where the food comes from. I don't know if I'll be able to find Tahini on the market, but I'm definitely gonna be making some Hummus, I absolutely love it.

  11. Is that chickpeas skinless or its along with skin? Just curious how they make it back home.

Thank you so much for the video❤

  12. I don't have tahini. Is it ok to make it without it? Does it still taste good? I'm asking this before I even try… Gonna make it later today and find out.
