Msg is always good. But usually steaks don’t really need it, they are umami reach by themselves

I love putting some MSG on my steaks. At the end of the day, if you’re cooking for yourself, put whatever makes you happy on it.

Add a little into your seasoning of choice and it’ll enhance the already good flavor.

Powdered MSG is mostly just fermented corn, if you spend all this time “mastering your steak” why wouldn’t you use some umami flavor that nature provides, like mushroom or cheese

I’m fine with msg but there is some kind of tenderizer on cheaper steakhouse steaks that kills my gut!

Notting wrong with a lil yum yum. I mix it in my tallow when injecting brisket.

Honestly unless I’m stir frying I usually don’t use MSG on steak. I use it pretty liberally on a lot of other things though, maybe I should give it a shot on steak

MSG makes meat taste more meaty, so go for it.
