This jar doesn’t have a way for the ring to screw on. I don’t understand how you could seal something in it, especially in a water bath or pressure cooker. Anybody know?

    I believe that’s from the era of wax sealing jars… no longer considered food-safe. My mother used them for jellies in the 70s. The lids didn’t screw on.

    I acquired a bunch of these when an acquaintance downsized her canning collection. Use as informal drinking or wine glasses, votive holders, dessert cups, and flower vases.
