Blowing up in Buda: A new Progress Coffee + Beer bar opens in the burbs

So many new food and drink places opening in the Buda/Kyle run south of Austin.

The new Progress Coffee + Beer is a little off the beaten path, on FM 2001 in the neighborhood east of I-35.

They have a cool location in Austin with a great coffee and booze bar menu and some good food trucks out back.

That’s the plan in Buda, too. I was there for a soft open before the food trucks were running but they’re supposed to have it all going this weekend.

It’s got a big patio for live music outside.

I had a White Bronco, it was like a sake bomb but with a shot of Nixta corn liqueur dropped into Montucky and orange juice. Whoa boy!

They’ve got more traditional coctails too but their specialties are the boozy coffee drinks.
